Returns & Exchanges
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it—unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To initiate a return, please visit your account.townsman.com.au and complete the return request form.
Once your request is approved, you will receive return instructions, including the return address.
- Return requests must be submitted within 30 days of receiving your item.
- Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.
- Return postage is the responsibility of the customer and is not covered by Townsman. A flat fee of $12.50 will be deducted from your refund to cover return shipping costs.
- All returns must be shipped using Australia Post.
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Some items are not eligible for return unless deemed faulty:
- Gift Cards: All sales of gift cards are final and cannot be returned or refunded.
- Sale or Marked-Down Items: Marked down items are final sale and not eligible for return due to change of mind. This does not affect your right under Australian Consumer Law.
If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, color, or style, please submit an exchange request through your account.
Exchanges are subject to availability. If you're exchanging for another item of the same price (for example, a different size), you’ll be responsible for returning the item to us at your own cost. Once your exchange request is approved, we’ll provide return instructions.
All exchange parcels must be shipped via Australia Post.
While we do our best to accommodate all exchange requests, please note that due to the limited nature of our collection, we cannot guarantee availability. We don’t reserve items while awaiting returned goods, and exchanges are only processed once the original item has been received and inspected.
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you if the refund is approved.
If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. A $12.50 return postage fee will be deducted from the total refund amount.
